3 Unique Ways To Explore London!

London is such a fantastic city with so much to see and do, and whilst you’ll likely use the tube or walk for a lot of your time in London, there are also some really fun alternatives to provide a really memorable element to your trip. We’re here to introduce a few of them that will make your time in London all the more special and to help you see the city from a completely different perspective. All these things can be pretty central, so choose Hyde Park or Knightsbridge parking then head to these exciting modes of transport!

By Kayak

Firstly, you can do fantastic Kayak tours in London! You can kayak right down the River Thames, seeing all of the iconic landmarks, from London Eye to Big Ben and so much more. You’ll be taken by a guide who will point out everything along the way and ensure everything goes smoothly.

You can also do daytime trips and then some providers also run twilight ones which are so special and a great alternative to a night out if you’re not a big drinker! Whether you do this on your own or with friends, it’s a memory you’ll never forget.

Walking Tour

We’d recommend walking around London as much as possible because we find you just get so much more out of the experience, however an even better way if there are particular areas that you’re interested in is to do a walking tour. There are so many different walking tours around the city, from the ultimate sightseeing ones through to hidden histories, historic pubs or Jack The Ripper!

There are plenty of websites with big lists of all the available walking tours, so have an explore and see what takes your fancy. No matter what, we’d definitely recommend doing at least one to help you see what all the fuss is about. Read the reviews for the walking tour as well, because the tour guide can make all the difference when it comes to how much you gain from your walking tour.

Open Top Bus

Another wonderful way to explore London that is also very flexible is to go on an open top bus. Again, much like the walking tour, there are so many different options for this, so make sure you look at the different routes available to see what suits you. The thing that most providers have in common is they follow certain loops, and you can either stay on the bus for the whole loop or jump off when you arrive somewhere you’d like to explore more of.

If you do get off, the buses come every 10 to 15 minutes as there are so many in circulation, so you’re never waiting long. Many of the providers also do 2 or 3 day passes where you can go on all of the different loops to see as much of London as possible. If you’re only in London for a short time, then this is one of the best ways to see the city, and from a great perspective too!
