Tip secrets to pass the NASM exam

The NASM CPT exam is notorious for being one of the most difficult fitness.

Everyone who has sat for this exam will tell you that it’s not an easy fit. The first thing that you have to do is buy the study book and begin. Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t all end here. Simply reading through the book alone will not help you pass the exam. You have to equip yourself with some effective study tips. Furthermore, NASM quizzes and guides will help you go through the entire process swiftly. So what is the secret behind passing the vitally important NASM exam? Here are some tips on what to do in order to pass the exams;

Follow the weekly emails

Make it a habit to follow through with the weekly emails that NASM sends you. These emails give you an insight of what to read in every chapter. Ensure that you make a study guide of each one of the chapters in the book and even take some notes to read later.

Make a study guide

You cannot read the entire book without having a study guide for the chapters. On each chapter make a study guide so that you know the important points you are supposed to be reading. Keep in mind that the study guide can be really long. While it’s not recommended to skip any chapter, you can focus less on those that you already have prior knowledge on.

Try online presentations

Simply reading every chapter in the book is bound to bore you at some point. In this case, you can incorporate online modules in your studying. The best thing to do is watch the presentations during the time of the day when you are most awake and active. The online presentations will make it easier for you to read through a chapter.

Do practice exams

There is no way you will know how to approach the main exam questions if you don’t do the practice quizzes. When you do the NASM practice exams you are able to know areas that are your stronghold and those that require more studying. For instance, all the questions that you failed will tell you where to go back and study.  You can purchase the practice tests or do the free test that comes with your package. However, don’t focus most of your time and energy on the practice exams.

Use flashcards

As you read each and every chapter, try to make your own flashcards. They are the perfect way for you to grasp what you have been reading. Write down all the important information on the flashcards and go through them until you have fully memorized everything. If you feel like there is something that you haven’t grasped well then you can always go back and study once more.

Have a study calendar

When the exams are near, you will need a study calendar to prepare well. During the last few weeks, make a study calendar. On it you can include chapters that you need to review, topics that you haven’t grasped fully and even the quizzes that you are yet to take. It will make it easier for you to study calmly without feeling overwhelmed.

Write down questions that come into your mind

As you read there are definitely some new questions that cross your mind. All you have to do is write them down and then find time to thoroughly go through these questions. It’s a great way of reviewing the content you are reading.
