BBQ season is here and it’s time to get your garden ready for it! We’re here with some simple tips to help transform your space without needing to spend much money at all. Making your garden look great for your guests is possible on a budget.
De-Weed and Mow Your Lawn
The very first step is to de-weed and mow your lawn. When your garden is overgrown, it can immediately make it look in a bad state and you might think you need to do something quite significant in order to make it look good, when it really just needs a clean up. So, spend a few hours getting rid of all the weeds, any rubbish and then mow all of the grass and you’ll have a better idea of what you’re working with. You may then decide you need to trim down hedges with a chainsaw and clean up the flowerbeds from here, for example. This gives you a blank slate for you to then start with and you can add some lovely finishing touches such as solar lights, candles and so much more.
Jet Wash Everything
Next, you should jet wash everything. When something has a build up of dirt, moss or grime on it, it can really drag down the appearance of your garden, so spend some time jet washing. Do your garden furniture, your patio, fences and any walls that have dirt around the bottom of them. This can really transform your garden in a matter of a few hours and similarly to mowing your lawn, you will realise that the work you thought you’d need to do isn’t so significant afterall! If anything is quite delicate, like fences being slightly weak, just make sure that you adjust the power of your pressure washer as the last thing you want to end up with is holes in your fence before your BBQ.
Give Your Fences A Paint
Something else that can turn your garden around in no time is to give your fences a paint. Get yourself some garden paint, either from your local garden centre or you could look for people who have spare they don’t need on something like Facebook marketplace. Or, if you’re really organised, you could have a look in the winter months when there are sales on because it’s out of season, so you can often find exactly the product you’d want to use. This is something simple that can bring your whole garden to life!
Sort Out Your Garden Furniture
No BBQ is complete without garden furniture, so you need to get your tables and seating sorted. You can ask people to bring chairs with them if a lot of people are coming, but try your best to sort out as much seating as you can. This could be blankets on the floor with cushions on your artificial grass Brisbane-based, you could get second hand chairs or it might just be a case of cleaning up everything that you have already and just making it cute and presentable.
